Welcome to Gigevate. Our mission is to create a safe, collaborative and vibrant environment where artists, organisers and fans can connect, grow and thrive. These Community Guidelines exist to protect that vision and ensure everyone has a positive experience on the platform.

By using Gigevate, you agree to uphold the standards outlined below.

1. RESPECT AND COURTESY

1.1 Treat Others with Respect

We are a diverse global community. Harassment, discrimination or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other identity will not be tolerated under any circumstance.

1.2 Constructive Communication

Be kind, clear and respectful in your messages and collaborations. Personal attacks, aggressive language or inflammatory remarks are not welcome. Offer feedback constructively and assume good intent.

1.3 Privacy

Respect the privacy of others. Never share private messages, contact details, photos or personal information without explicit consent.

2. CONTENT AND CONDUCT

2.1 Appropriate Content

All content shared on Gigevate should reflect our community values. Do not post or share anything:

  • Obscene or sexually explicit
  • Defamatory, threatening or abusive
  • That glorifies violence or promotes hate
  • Inappropriate for our professional environment

This includes text, images, audio, video, profiles and links.

2.2 No Spamming

Do not:

  • Send repeated or irrelevant messages
  • Mass-promote unrelated events or content
  • Post links or promos without context or consent

Promotions are welcome only when they add real value.

2.3 Intellectual Property

Only share content that you own or have permission to use. Do not upload copyrighted material without proper authorisation.

2.4 No Harmful Activities

The following are not allowed:

  • Scamming, phishing or impersonation
  • Sharing viruses or malicious software
  • Manipulating, exploiting or threatening other users
  • Attempting to disrupt or harm the platform or its services

3. COLLABORATION AND NETWORKING

3.1 Positive Collaboration

Support fellow community members. Share opportunities, knowledge and encouragement.

3.2 Networking Etiquette

When reaching out to others:

  • Be respectful, clear and purposeful
  • Do not pressure anyone for responses or interactions
  • Respect boundaries if someone declines or disengages

4. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY

4.1 Accurate Information

Profiles must contain truthful and accurate information. Impersonating others or creating fake accounts is not allowed.

4.2 Account Security

Keep your login details private. Use a strong password and report any suspicious activity to Gigevate Support.

5. REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT

5.1 Reporting Violations

If you see behaviour or content that violates these guidelines:

  • Use the reporting features on the platform
  • Include clear information when possible

All reports are confidential and taken seriously.

5.2 Consequences

Depending on the situation, actions may include:

  • Warnings
  • Temporary suspensions
  • Permanent account bans
  • Reporting serious abuse to appropriate authorities

6. GENERAL CONDUCT

6.1 Compliance with Laws

You must follow all relevant local and international laws while using Gigevate.

6.2 Feedback and Improvements

We welcome feedback from our community. Suggestions should be respectful, constructive and submitted through official channels.

7. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES

We may revise these Community Guidelines as our platform grows or as new challenges arise. Changes will be:

  • Posted publicly with a new effective date
  • Considered accepted if you continue using the platform after changes are posted
