This guide shows you exactly how payments work when you get booked through Gigevate. Every step is protected through Trustap Escrow so your fee is safe until you perform and the organiser approves the booking or you both agree to release the funds earlier.
When an organiser confirms your booking on Gigevate their payment is processed securely through Trustap. The money does not go directly into your account. It is placed in Trustap Escrow and held safely until both sides agree that the performance is complete or until you both agree to release the funds earlier.
This protects you as an artist because:
Your booking fee is secured before you perform
The organiser cannot move or cancel the funds without a clear process
All communication about the booking is captured in one place
Any disputes are handled through Trustap based on clear evidence
You always know where your money is in the process and what has to happen next for it to be paid out.
Every paid booking on Gigevate follows the same simple flow:
Organiser creates the booking and you both confirm the details
Organiser pays through Trustap Escrow
You agree payout timing together in the Gigevate chat
Both sides confirm the performance is completed
You claim your payout from Trustap and receive your fee
You will receive a booking request from the organiser. Review:
Set time
Fee
Riders
Additional notes
Once everything is correct the organiser can start the transaction.
The organiser pays the booking fee through Trustap. Funds enter Escrow immediately. Nothing is paid to you yet.
The money is held securely until you deliver the performance or until you both agree to release the funds earlier.
Once payment is made you will see a button: Accept Payment. Click Accept Payment to:
Lock the funds
Open the Gigevate chat
Begin finalising event details with the organiser
Once you accept the payment the chat opens. Use this space to confirm:
Set time
Arrival and technical information
Rider details
When you want Trustap to release the funds
You may choose earlier payout, but both sides must agree.
After the show the organiser logs into Gigevate and confirms that the performance is completed. This is required before any payout can be released.
Once the organiser confirms you will see a button Confirm Performance Completed Clicking this signals that:
The performance happened
There are no disputes
Trustap can prepare your payout
Both sides must confirm before money can be released.
If this is your first payout you must convert your Trustap guest user to a full account.
This is a one-time step needed for:
Identity verification
Compliance
Secure payouts
It takes under 2 minutes.
You will be redirected to the Trustap registration form where you enter:
Name
Country of residence
Password
Your Trustap profile connects directly to your future Gigevate bookings.
Once registration is complete return to Gigevate. Open the booking and click Claim Payout. This signals Trustap to release the money from Escrow into your payout method once verification is done.
Trustap may require extra information such as:
Date of birth
Address
Bank details
Once verified, Trustap releases the funds. Your booking is now fully complete and securely paid.
As an artist you cover the platform booking fee.
This fee is automatically deducted from your payout before you receive your money.
Your booking fee gives you access to:
Secure escrow-protected payments
Booking management tools
Exposure to verified organisers
Profile visibility and discovery tools
Gigevate support and safety features
| Booking Value (€) | Artist Booking Fee (%) |

Gigevate strongly recommends that payout happens after the performance, once both sides confirm. However you may agree to release funds earlier.
Examples:
A portion before the show
Remaining amount after performance
Earlier payout upon mutual agreement in chat
Once a handover is confirmed and money is released, Trustap cannot reverse the payout unless a dispute was opened in time.
If there is an issue with the organiser: Do not confirm the performance. Both parties can use the complaint section in the Trustap transaction. Trustap reviews:
Chat communication
Agreements
Evidence from the event
Refunds may be full, partial, or denied depending on evidence. Once both sides confirm performance completed, no new dispute can be opened.
Every completed Gigevate transaction contributes to your Trusted X-File. This includes:
Successful bookings
Completed payouts
Dispute history
Reliability indicators
Your X-File helps organisers trust you and increases booking opportunities across the global scene.
